New Thought Mixology
This blog was created to share some of my new takes on cocktails. The way in which I approach cocktails is with ideas of simplicity and a no frills approach. The drinks I attempt to create are striving to show off the fine essence of the ingredients used. Ingredients are chosen to complement and should stand alone as good. I avoid creating a cocktail that is a mask for the alcohol in it. I look forward to sharing the discoveries and the frustrations that will become New Thought Mixology.

To come
being working hard in the drink lab and maybe by end of summer will have some fresh recipes. But some hits with sparking grapefruit and St.Germain. Also trying out sweet red vermouth in some of the receipes. Working on some takes on Manhattans also so should have something to publish very soon.
Too long and I hate moonshine
This is going to be a little bit of a rant. I have to say this new surge in interest about moonshine is stupid. You can not go into a Bev Mo and buy moonshine. By definition moonshine is illegally made spirits. If you are buying it off the self at your local liquor store this is not moonshine. Grain alcohol yes but not moonshine. So this huge interest in moonshine is mostly about grain alcohol or more correctly term to be un-aged American whiskey, grain vodka, everclear and so on. It is a stupid marking term to give people this feeling authenticity that is really not there. So if someone offers you moonshine laugh take a sip and ask what still in there backyard produced such swill.

New Look
Hello All
I just wanted to clarify somethings. First off the drawings are accurate follow the steps as drawn and you will successfully make the drinks. I have drawing them to take in account for the tappers of the glasses and the ice that is used so if you make your drinks look like the drawings you will have no trouble making the finished cocktail.
Second there is a new look to the overall drawings I wanted to freshening them up a bit. Let me know what you think.
