Here is a very new drink I came up with just the other day. It has absinthe in it so if you are unfamiliar with this liqueur you should know it is going to taste a lot like licorice. If this is not a flavor you like you most likely will not care for this drink. But that being said it is quite a nice drink with a sweet sense of licorice and orange and a tang of juniper berry.
Glass:
Up or martini
Ingredients:
Absinthe
Gin
Triple Sec
Fresh Lime Juice
Proportions:
1. Add Absinthe
2. Add Triple Sec
3. Add fresh lime juice
4. Add Gin
Shake with ice. The ice is important in order to unlock the flavors in absinthe it must be mixed with cold water. Once shaking the drink should take on a green opalescent look.
